The Role of the Board
The board plays a crucial role in shaping our school’s direction through:
- Providing strategic guidance and support
- Overseeing school policies and budgets
- Developing and implementing long-term plans
Public Comment Guidelines
- Speaking time: 3 minutes per person (maximum 15 minutes total)
- Sign-up process: Submit your name and topic by 5 PM the day before a regular board meeting
- Board response: The board may or may not address comments during the open session
Enhancing Communication
To improve collaboration and transparency:
- We distribute meeting agendas in advance to allow for thorough preparation
- Our School Improvement Team reviews and revises plans regularly, making recommendations to the board
- We utilize meeting management software to streamline processes and boost interaction among board members
