Revolution Academy: A School of Choice

We welcome applications from parents eager to embrace a challenging academic program designed to foster character development and leadership skills. While our unique approach offers a rewarding experience, we recognize RA may not be the ideal fit for every student. We encourage prospective families to learn about our school before applying to ensure it aligns with your educational goals and values.

Apply Online

The application period opens each year on October 1. The application is simple and requires only basic information to ensure the school can contact the parent/guardian when an enrollment decision is made.

Enrollment Lottery

A grade-level lottery is conducted electronically on February 3. Results are communicated electronically immediately after the lottery runs. Applicants will either receive a spot or be placed on the waiting list.

Registration for Accepted Students

Parents/Guardians of students who are accepted will be emailed a link to fill out enrollment information by the deadline

The information needed will include contact and emergency information, demographics, medical information, etc. Your child’s birth certificate, immunization record, and the NC Health Transmittal Form will also be needed unless previously enrolled in a NC Public School.

Waiting List for Prospective Students

If an applicant is not granted a spot during the lottery, he or she will be placed on the waiting list. The parent/guardian will be notified electronically as soon as the lottery runs what number the child is on the waiting list.

As spots become available, the parent/guardian will be notified of the child’s new place on the waiting list. The next person on the waiting list will receive an email and text message indicating that they have been offered a spot. This will also include a timeline for attendance to be confirmed.

Failure to confirm attendance within the designated amount of time will result in the automatic removal of the application and an automatic offer sent to the next person on the waiting list.

A new application is required each year for those who are not currently enrolled.

Enrollment Priority

Some prospective students receive enrollment priority. These individuals include:

siblings of current students
children of current school staff
children of current board members

How does enrollment work?

Revolution Academy uses a lottery system to ensure that every applicant has a fair and equal chance to attend. To make it as streamlined as possible, Revolution Academy uses an automated electronic lottery system called Lotterease. We are dedicated to creating a fair and equal opportunity for every student to attend Revolution Academy. Read below to find out how to navigate Lotterease and grab your spot in the next school year’s lottery!

The Application Process

1 Register for Lotterease

You will need to register on the Lotterease platform to enter your child in to the lottery system. On this registration, be sure to use your information and not your child’s. You will be asked in a later step to enter your child’s information.

2 Add your students to your Lotterease account

You will now need to enter your child’s information to add them to your account. Once you have created your account, you will need to navigate to the “Add Child” link on the left menu. Below is an image that shows where you will find this link.

3 Enroll your students in the Revolution Academy lottery

Now that you have added your child to your Lotterease account, you will now have to enroll them in a lottery. Select your child’s name from the left menu as outlined in the photo below and you will be prompted to select a school. Select Revolution Academy and hit submit.

4 You're done! Now you can check back regarding the status of your application.

Congratulations! You have entered your child in to the lottery at Revolution Academy. Now you can login to your account and check the status of your application. Click the button below to login to your Lotterease account.
