Public funding sustains our day-to-day operations — not our new upper school facilities — so it is private generosity that shapes our future. With your support, we’re raising funds to build a new $30 million upper school on 65 acres in Summerfield, NC. The 6th to 12th grade upper school will be home to 784 young scholars and is located at 5322 Bunch Road.

Currently housed in rented space at Central Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, with hundreds of families on a waiting list, the school’s new facility will provide state-of-the-art facilities, expansive outdoor spaces, and endless opportunities for growth and innovation.

A new school requires community partnership, as state funding doesn’t cover land or construction. By rallying together, we can ensure Revolution Academy public charter school thrives for generations, offering stability and opportunity to countless students. Upper School Updates & Timeline

  • Secured 65-acres in Summerfield, NC at 5322 Bunch Road for the upper school (6-12th grade).
  • Launched Revolution Rising capital campaign to answer the urgent call of our parents to open a state-of-the-art upper school in 2027.
  • Preliminary Plan Approved – Received sketch plan approval from the Town of Summerfield. No zoning change is required to move forward.
  • Environmental Studies Complete – Including wetlands delineation, tree survey, Phase I environmental site assessment, septic suitability, and geotechnical evaluation.
  • Design Work Progressing –
    • Design development drawings and pricing will be complete by September 2025
    • Construction documents and final pricing (GMP) ready by November 2025
    • Permitting expected December 2025 – January 2026
    • Construction begins March 2026
    • Target completion May 2027
  • Project Scope – A 64,610 sq. ft., two-story building serving both middle and high school students. The building will feature a steel frame with brick, EIFS, cement panels and trim, and a durable TPO roof.
  • Traffic Planning – A full Traffic Impact Analysis is underway, including traffic counts and reviews with NCDOT and MSTA.
