Dear Rhino Families,
WELCOME TO THE 2025-2026 school year! I hope your summer was filled with fun and special times with family and friends. With the addition of classes in 2nd grade and 10th grade, we want to welcome many new families to Revolution Academy.
Our school theme this year is “One Team, One Dream.” We look forward to continuing to work together as one school on two campuses to educate our students successfully.
We are excited about the growth occurring at Revolution. With growth, however, sometimes come growing pains. To accommodate our increasing enrollment, “Learning Cottages” will be added on our Lower School campus, serving as classrooms for our 2nd graders over the next two years. The Learning Cottages will be outside of the K-2 hallway. As many of you know, we have purchased land at 5322 Bunch Road, which will eventually become the home for our 6th–12th-grade students. We anticipate breaking ground on that site in the spring of 2026, to open the new campus in August 2027. Until that campus is complete, we remain flexible and remind ourselves that growing pains are only temporary.

Revolution Academy Principal
One of Revolution Academy’s four pillars is Parental Involvement. Partnering with our parents helps our students be more successful. We expect each parent to volunteer a minimum of 20 hours each year. There are many opportunities for you to volunteer at RA. Here is a list of ways you can be involved:
- PTO volunteer
- Sporting events (concession/tickets)
- Lunch parent
- Hot lunch volunteer
- Field trip chaperone
- Library volunteer
- Classroom volunteer (to file papers for your child’s teacher)
- Book Fair volunteer

PTO representatives will be in the gym lobby at the Lower School at Open House. Please stop by and sign up to get involved! PTO representatives will also be stationed in the gym at the Upper School during Open House.
Bre's Transportation will also be available at the Open House (at both locations) for those interested in learning more about transportation from Hub stops or their homes. Rates for the 2025-2026 school year will be posted on our website. *If you qualify for free/reduced lunch, please contact Mrs. Chicka (echicka@rarhinosk12.com) for assistance.
UPPER/LOWER SCHOOL SHUTTLE
If you have a student in 8 th -10 th grade AND a student at the main campus, we offer a free shuttle to and from the two campuses for SIBLINGS and athletes only. The shuttle will take 8 th - 10 th grade students from RA’s main campus to the church in Oak Ridge in the morning (students must be at the Lower School no later than 7:20 AM) and bring them back to the main campus for afternoon dismissal. The shuttle will bring RA 8 th -10 th grade athletes back to the main campus in the afternoons for practices and games. If you choose to use this shuttle service, please complete this form:

CAR LINE (Upper and Lower School)
Each family will be assigned a number for pick up that you will use each day. You will receive your car line tags at Open House (in your youngest student’s hallway). The number will be hung on your rearview mirror at dismissal each day until your student is seated in your vehicle. Each family will receive TWO cards with their family number on them. No student will be dismissed without a number tag. If someone comes to pick up your student without a number, they must park, come into the office, and show identification after 3:00 PM (Upper School) and All Call (Lower School). You may purchase additional car tags for $5.00 from the office at Open House or during office hours.
LOWER SCHOOL
Our lower school (K-7 th grades) day runs from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM. This year, our school-wide morning assembly will begin at 8:00 AM. It is highly encouraged that all students be present for this assembly each morning. The assembly is a time for us to gather as a school to recite the Pledge of Allegiance, The Preamble to the Declaration of Independence, our RA Student Creed, and sing a Core Knowledge song. We also use this time to recognize students during the year.
If your students are absent from assembly, they will miss these important events.
Any student who arrives at 8:00 AM or later is expected to check in with an adult in the office, and the parents will be required to sign their students into the Ident-a-Kid system.
The office doors will lock from 2:30 PM until All-Call each day. If you come to get your student during those times, you must wait in your car until All-Call. Please do not line up for the afternoon car line before 2:15 PM, as we have classes using the car line lanes for recess until then.
Follow all posted parking lot signs. Please note there are two lanes of traffic until after you round the teardrop. Then it is expected you merge into one lane, taking turns as you go. You must have your 2025-2026 grey car tag on your rearview mirror until your child enters the car.
UPPER SCHOOL
The Upper School (8 th -10 th grades) academic school day will start at 7:45 AM and end at 2:45 PM. All students must be in their classroom by 7:45 AM. Our morning carline will close at 7:40 AM. After this time, you will be asked to walk your student to the school’s front office and receive a tardy slip. Dismissal begins at 2:45 PM. Parents are expected to pick up their children no later than 3:00 PM. Please do not line up for the afternoon car line before 2:30 PM, as the parking lot at the church will not accommodate that many vehicles for an extended period of time.
PACES (after-school care for kindergarten through 7 th grades only) will be at the Open House. They will have a table in the gym for those interested in learning more about after-school care for their students.
Every Monday is an official uniform day for our students. Special assemblies requiring students to wear the RA official uniform will also be scheduled on Mondays. RA official uniform consists of khaki bottoms, a navy uniform top (tucked in), black or white socks, and a brown or black belt if belt loops are present.
Please be mindful of our academic days and plan accordingly when planning trips for the school year. When your student will be absent from school, please email his or her homeroom teacher AND office@rarhinosk12.com.

PE Uniforms are required for Upper School students in PE classes. They will be available for pick-up if previously purchased or for purchase at the Open House on August 11 th.
The price of the PE uniform will be $20. Cash, checks, and credit cards will be accepted. Please use the link to pre-order.
All students in grades K–10 will need to purchase a field trip shirt. These shirts are required for grade-level field trips and may also be worn on spirit days. Shirts ordered by July 20 will be delivered at Open House.
RA’s required summer reading and supply lists can be found under the Parent link for each grade level.
Information will be available at open house regarding access. Additional emails will be sent the week of August 18, regarding the Parent Portal access for the 2025-2026 school year.
